Inevitably, everyone looks to Paris always for fashion inspiration. Just like me, but I find it hard to admit that, and that I almost never feel like I get it just right. But then again I am an emotional dresser. One day full leather and suede, another eyelet whites to the ground with a mountain hat. It is more about catching a moment when you travel though. And see what you gain from that.. See what I mean? (Below).
Landed and settled back in New York for fashion week we let ourselves look for
different influences this time around. I have always been a great fan of Nick Knight and his art. Recently he released a photo selection with a variety of designers participating in a
shoot for V magazine.
While we work on our reports I wanted to share some of my favourite shots from the shoot here in at Milk studios in LA.
Happy Tuesday beautiful people! One of the superpowers of being based in Los Angeles is the absolutely gorgeous weather, temperature and closeness to miles of beautiful beaches. This weekend we took to the sand and welcomed the summer with bubbles and SPF 30 to start the new season with a gentle tan. While on the beach, scanning the latest Vogue UK editorials we came across some lush inspiration from Alexander Wangs muse and German model Anna Ewers (Vogue DE cover March 2015). The spread perfectly mirrored our feeling for beach fashion this summer giving life to blue ocean backdrops, salty hair and airy white blouses with 70s attic finds like crochet shorts and off the shoulder crop tops in rust, off-white and black lycra swimwear.
What we love about this look is the absolute ease at which you can pull it together. Who doesnt have a pair of black bikini bottoms and a white shirt? Then all you need is your farmers market tote, last years summer sandals (yes! to worn in already) and the ocean will do the rest for tan and salty hair. It will be a beautiful summer guys!
Love, RE x
First and foremost, now that we are back in LA and we and going through all of our fashion week coverage we had to take some time to reflect over what we saw and establish some of the trends for Fall 2015.
We have made our own interpretation through our own outfits where we are channeling a few different looks based on what we found in the best of the best vintage that New York had to offer along with a few contemporary brands and some high-end ones, which you will see later on this week.
As you might know now, re-inventing is our forte and this trip also brought an amazing amount of inspiration to us as and knowledge about the growing consignment market on the east coast.
But first let’s start with our favourites from the runways, and what our fellow blogger friends wore in the sunny but freezing New York!

On This weeks “Style Spy” we decided to shine our light on one of the hottest models of the moments, Cara Delevingne.
Cara began her modelling career at the very tender age of 10 when she first appeared in Vogue Italia modelling for the English chocolate brand Cadbury. Since then she has continued working with almost every premium brand on the European and American market today and she is currently the face of Burberry’s beauty campaign alongside fellow british models Edie Campbell and Jourdan Dunn.
Cara has since her first shoot as a junior model continued on her way to stardom and landed ad campaigns for brands like Blumarine, DKNY, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent, Zara, and Chanel.
She has also built an incredible resume of runway shows she has walked for, and Moschino, Jason Wu, Oscar de la Renta, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Stella McCartney,Dsquared, Lanvin, Givenchy and Chanel are all brands who book her for every season for their SS and FW shows.
In 2012 and 2013 she became a part of the “Victoria Secret Angel” squad and walked the prestigious annual runway show alongside fellow Brazilian super star models Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes and Gisele Bundchen.
The next venture Cara is pursuing is her music and singing. She is working with top producer of the 20th century Pharell Williams on her new album and they have recorded a song called “CC the world” which has been used for the short Chanel film “Reincarnation” in which the both star.
We hope to meet Cara during our trip to New York for Fashion Week so stay tuned for more from Re’s Weekly SS updates!
