Pop of Blue Accents SS15

Black and beige are the classic staple colors for sure, but I have always considered blue to be one of the top candidates to complement the staples. Blue, being the color of denim has a natural home in the staple closet and has always showed up in one tone or another on the runway.

Spring/Summer 2015 is no exception, and this season’s shades of blue range from almost turquoise (scuba blue) to beautifully saturated “classic blue” which surprisingly has made it feel updated and fun again (classic blue has a tendency to appear in a marine setting which I think has gone and come back one time too many). This inspires lovely new combos of blue where the shades can be mixed and matched in an endless number of trendy combos as well as worn as a pop accent on shoes or handbags.

Below we’ve collected a number of examples where these shades of blue can be found on the runway and on the high street. As you can see it pairs beautifully with darker shades of blue, classic white summer pieces, light gray and even matt deep red lip tones. So dont be afraid to pick it up in your makeup!

I’ll wear blue as a splash of color with a clutch, or in a funky t-shirt print with some black pants or jeans. I’m also keen to see if I can find a summer sandal with a dusty blue contrast color. I’ll keep you posted!

Style Stealer of the week – Clemence Posey

Ok , So I usually don’t have a lot to say about actresses when it comes to style. However we absolutely adore Clemence!
She just has that effortless parisian style that we all try to achieve from time to time but never really get there. Her signature style is quite romantic and she often wears liberty flower prints combined with a lot of leather and suede.
One of our favorite looks this spring season is her long skirt with a leather biker and matching biker boots which she carries so incredibly well with that wavy blonde bob!
Clemence also stunns in her tomboy style thus she often wears boots and tailored blazers with a pleated trouser to shows, sometimes with just a lace top or a simple white shirt to keep it classy.
Another way we have seen her is in a signature Chanel tweed piece combined with a mini skirt strutting around the European fashion shows with a sky high heel to stay true to her super french heritage.

Either outfit, we love her sense of delicacy and cannot wait to catch her next time in Paris!

Stay tuned for more “Style Stealer” action!

Weekly Style Spy – Cara Delevingne

On This weeks “Style Spy” we decided to shine our light on one of the hottest models of the moments, Cara Delevingne.
Cara began her modelling career at the very tender age of 10 when she first appeared in Vogue Italia modelling for the English chocolate brand Cadbury. Since then she has continued working with almost every premium brand on the European and American market today and she is currently the face of Burberry’s beauty campaign alongside fellow british models Edie Campbell and Jourdan Dunn.

Cara has since her first shoot as a junior model continued on her way to stardom and landed ad campaigns for brands like Blumarine, DKNY, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent, Zara, and Chanel.
She has also built an incredible resume of runway shows she has walked for, and Moschino, Jason Wu, Oscar de la Renta, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Stella McCartney,Dsquared, Lanvin, Givenchy and Chanel are all brands who book her for every season for their SS and FW shows.
In 2012 and 2013 she became a part of the “Victoria Secret Angel” squad and walked the prestigious annual runway show alongside fellow Brazilian super star models Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes and Gisele Bundchen.

The next venture Cara is pursuing is her music and singing. She is working with top producer of the 20th century Pharell Williams on her new album and they have recorded a song called “CC the world” which has been used for the short Chanel film “Reincarnation” in which the both star.

We hope to meet Cara during our trip to New York for Fashion Week so stay tuned for more from Re’s Weekly SS updates!

When I was younger, all I wanted to do was to dress in all shades of green. Pants, Sweaters, tshirts, shoes you name it. Now all I seem to dress in are all of these monochrome shades, which I have come to really love lately, but at first I found it a bit somber and I started to analyze my dressing ways way more.
Luckily, right now its all about the dressing in “monochrome” shades (varying tones of only one color) and how to make it fresh with your own twist. Anyone can put together a pair of black jeans with a white t-shirt and call it “minimalistic mono” for instance, but what makes your mono outfit special?

Stay tuned for my very own monochrome!

Mixed Prints Resort 15

Mixing prints and patterns has recently become a big trend on the runway and its certainly taken a little time to figure out how that translates to the street, but once you crack the code it becomes a fun and powerful source of inspiration and there are few limits to what you can combine. The resort collections of 2015 give us plenty of ideas on how to layer sheer patterned silks and kimonos with flirty skater skirts and structured tops. There are color bursting floral patterns, relaxed hair styles and statement neon accessories. Below we’ve sampled some of our favorite runway looks and translated them to every day outfits that can just as easily be worn to work as a night out with the girls.

Match colors, not prints / The simpler the print the better they match / Break up with solids (metallics and neon work particularly well this season)
