On This weeks “Style Spy” we decided to shine our light on one of the hottest models of the moments, Cara Delevingne.
Cara began her modelling career at the very tender age of 10 when she first appeared in Vogue Italia modelling for the English chocolate brand Cadbury. Since then she has continued working with almost every premium brand on the European and American market today and she is currently the face of Burberry’s beauty campaign alongside fellow british models Edie Campbell and Jourdan Dunn.
Cara has since her first shoot as a junior model continued on her way to stardom and landed ad campaigns for brands like Blumarine, DKNY, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent, Zara, and Chanel.
She has also built an incredible resume of runway shows she has walked for, and Moschino, Jason Wu, Oscar de la Renta, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Stella McCartney,Dsquared, Lanvin, Givenchy and Chanel are all brands who book her for every season for their SS and FW shows.
In 2012 and 2013 she became a part of the “Victoria Secret Angel” squad and walked the prestigious annual runway show alongside fellow Brazilian super star models Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes and Gisele Bundchen.
The next venture Cara is pursuing is her music and singing. She is working with top producer of the 20th century Pharell Williams on her new album and they have recorded a song called “CC the world” which has been used for the short Chanel film “Reincarnation” in which the both star.
We hope to meet Cara during our trip to New York for Fashion Week so stay tuned for more from Re’s Weekly SS updates!
Every season, colour systems powerhouse Pantone release a colour report for the fashion industry. It contains 2 sets of 10 colours, one for women and one for men inspired by everything from books, artisan crafts, photography and retro architecture, to exotic landscapes and the children of rock legends. This season brings out some untypical and somewhat unrealistic colours that are unusual for fall and open up a lot of room for playfulness and artistic expression. We see it represented quite clearly in many of the fun ways designers have put hand painted fabrics and powerful mixes of colour in their shows. This week we’ve chosen to wrap our reader favourite post “Runway to Street” around these colours to give you some expanded insight to how you can mix and match some hot new colours with the most classic of your fall accessories.
First, some colours from this years Pantone map (Black not included).

Then 3 outfits that express what different designers, all at the cutting edge of fashion have chosen to do with these colours. Balenciaga brings a strong, city chic colour combo of Vibrant Orange, Royal Blue and deeper take on Cadmium Green. Peter Pilotto puts forward his skilful patterns in Purple Orchid, Molten Lava and classic black while Alice + Olivia take the fairytale route with patterns in another version of Cadmium Green, Saphire Blue and Misty Yellow (not represented here).

In the last picture we’ve given you 3 ways of using these combinations in every day life, such as to the office or a friday night out. It show’s its not hard to dare some colour and how coats and jackets in colours other than black can be a major investment hit for this season. It also shows a brilliant way of bringing new life to black knits and boots with something as simple as a pair of pink pants or a yellow tank top.
