Even though we see all of these beautiful examples and inspiring pictures of models walking down the runway as we flip through the magazines and click from picture to picture in blogs there’s rarely any connection to how this actually translates into every day life. Where can these trends be bought? And for a reasonable price? You’ve seen us do many examples of inspirational pieces in our runway to street posts, but they have mostly been there to trigger some ideas for you guys.
This week we’ve browsed through the high street brands to see what they offer for us that is actually affordable and good investment pieces without completely ruining our budget.
One of this springs most exciting trends is the fabric suede. You’ll see it in all walks of fashion from our favourite vintage shops through Topshop (below) to the Ralph Lauren runway. A vintage coat or a skirt is a great buy for spring 2015.
A bright or classic coloured jersey dress is also something you can easily dust off either from your own closet, or invest in a new one for less than $50.
Strong accent colours like the cobalt blue and the super hot pink works really well on accessories like clutches, nail varnish and shoes. These trends have a tendency to come back with just a few years in between.
My two favourite buys this season though will probably be a pair of dressy pants in a jersey blend in one of the new exciting base colours (such as the pair below) and a classic deep marine blue shirt as it is such a classic already. A true reload evolve piece. RE x
MALAIKA FIRTH – is this weeks outfit inspiration. Effortlessly chic in boyfriend jeans, t-shirt and a classic Burberry trench. This outfit is perfect for fall. What only weeks ago was jeans cutoffs and a tee turns into a sweatshirt and jeans topped off with this light weight coat and perfectly stylish black chelsea boots.
