“Yolk Yellow” at NYFW!

It is always really thrilling when you start to see your forecast take place on the streets on actual people! These looks of “yolk yellow” as we like to call it for this season has been seen in all fashion elements, including a lot of cool accessories.
Many online publications calls this colour “unexpected” but I stand by our forecast saying its totally coming for spring!

Can’t wait to see what’s next for this spring..

First and foremost, now that we are back in LA and we and going through all of our fashion week coverage we had to take some time to reflect over what we saw and establish some of the trends for Fall 2015.
We have made our own interpretation through our own outfits where we are channeling a few different looks based on what we found in the best of the best vintage that New York had to offer along with a few contemporary brands and some high-end ones, which you will see later on this week.
As you might know now, re-inventing is our forte and this trip also brought an amazing amount of inspiration to us as and knowledge about the growing consignment market on the east coast.
But first let’s start with our favourites from the runways, and what our fellow blogger friends wore in the sunny but freezing New York!

And like true Reload Evolvers, we’d never miss an opportunity for some first class vintage shopping. Although LA is filled with high level consignment shops and vintage gems (we know we owe you a shopping guide!), New York never fails to blow our minds.

So stay tuned as we go hunting for the best reloadable staples and some revolving color in this legendary city. And Happy Valentines day to you! ❤ RE xInside Vintage Shop

Weekly Style Spy – Cara Delevingne

On This weeks “Style Spy” we decided to shine our light on one of the hottest models of the moments, Cara Delevingne.
Cara began her modelling career at the very tender age of 10 when she first appeared in Vogue Italia modelling for the English chocolate brand Cadbury. Since then she has continued working with almost every premium brand on the European and American market today and she is currently the face of Burberry’s beauty campaign alongside fellow british models Edie Campbell and Jourdan Dunn.

Cara has since her first shoot as a junior model continued on her way to stardom and landed ad campaigns for brands like Blumarine, DKNY, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent, Zara, and Chanel.
She has also built an incredible resume of runway shows she has walked for, and Moschino, Jason Wu, Oscar de la Renta, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Stella McCartney,Dsquared, Lanvin, Givenchy and Chanel are all brands who book her for every season for their SS and FW shows.
In 2012 and 2013 she became a part of the “Victoria Secret Angel” squad and walked the prestigious annual runway show alongside fellow Brazilian super star models Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes and Gisele Bundchen.

The next venture Cara is pursuing is her music and singing. She is working with top producer of the 20th century Pharell Williams on her new album and they have recorded a song called “CC the world” which has been used for the short Chanel film “Reincarnation” in which the both star.

We hope to meet Cara during our trip to New York for Fashion Week so stay tuned for more from Re’s Weekly SS updates!

Runway to Everyday Life – SS15

Even though we see all of these beautiful examples and inspiring pictures of models walking down the runway as we flip through the magazines and click from picture to picture in blogs there’s rarely any connection to how this actually translates into every day life. Where can these trends be bought? And for a reasonable price? You’ve seen us do many examples of inspirational pieces in our runway to street posts, but they have mostly been there to trigger some ideas for you guys.

This week we’ve browsed through the high street brands to see what they offer for us that is actually affordable and good investment pieces without completely ruining our budget.

One of this springs most exciting trends is the fabric suede. You’ll see it in all walks of fashion from our favourite vintage shops through Topshop (below) to the Ralph Lauren runway. A vintage coat or a skirt is a great buy for spring 2015.

A bright or classic coloured jersey dress is also something you can easily dust off either from your own closet, or invest in a new one for less than $50.

Strong accent colours like the cobalt blue and the super hot pink works really well on accessories like clutches, nail varnish and shoes. These trends have a tendency to come back with just a few years in between.

My two favourite buys this season though will probably be a pair of dressy pants in a  jersey blend in one of the new exciting base colours (such as the pair below) and a classic deep marine blue shirt as it is such a classic already.
